Hey everyone...today I check my hotmail, and there is an email that I (well, my email address at least) copied myself on via eBay...basically asking a seller about a product...there was also the seller's response to my question in my inbox...strange thing is, I never sent any seller a question (and this was specific too) or even looked at the product in question...the time that the email was sent was around 11-12am ET...when I was at work, nowhere near a computer:wtf:
So Obviously, first thing I did was change all of my security info in ebay, and contact the seller informing him of this so that if someone bid from my account that he'd know it was not me...I'm still trying to follow up with Ebay, but damn, do I feel open and confused right now...thoughts? ideas?
   :wtf:

sounds like someone knows your email account info and your ebay account info! or at least your ebay. I think the default on ebays send seller a question/email, is to send a copy to yourself, I guess for instances like this. You have to have your ebay user and pw to send the seller a q. Sounds pretty weird to me though.

You could have still been logged in when someone else in your family was browsing ebay.

Check your purchase history to make sure there aren't any mysterious transactions.

if you get an e-mail from e-bay asking for credit info, or asking you to enter your password for "security reasons" DONT DO IT
when you enter in your password it loads a non-ebay site, then it flashes to the ebay site
I'm pretty sure those e-mails are a bunch of crap, if you reply to them it comes back as an incorrect address
