I guess there were too popular, I got my K&N cone and with the ram air it has given more top end gain and faster reving. Although it is quieter now... but i think it is cause the rubber on the KN filter doesnt make noise when it knocks against the metal inside the fender like the ebay filter.
Yeah i think some of the sound I'm hearing is a buzzing sound made by the filter hitting whatever it's hitting down there.

Where did you get your K&N and how much? Let me know cause I'll buy one NOW....

be careful about the length and depth... it might not fit. thats why i got the one i did.
well 7 inches... that can't be any longer than the one that came with my eBay CAI

it is longer. The ebay filter is about 6in long and 5+ in base. i paid through the teeth on mine to help a local shop. $50... but ultimately even with the cost of the filter the whole kit was half the price of injen w/o KN

Hey, what was the seller you are buying from? I had this in my favorites on ebay for the longest time, but I guess I deleted it. Now that I have some extra $$

An Injen filter is a K&N filter with the Injen logo on it as far as I know. That's what I was told by a few people when I put mine on the Celica, and after looking at it it did look almost exactly like a K&N.

i doubt u could even get the obx parts. tuningdepot isnt very responsive and normally stuff is out of stock. they probably are very similar... but the design is nice and simple and with a nice filter its effective.
