Easy way to import contacts via bluetooth - Not using voicecontrol!

So I have tried to import my contacts from my phone into my 2013 mazda5 GT and it seems really unreliable. Sometimes it recognizes that I'm saying phonebook, sometimes it thinks I said a long number.

I see I can use the buttons to do some functions but I have not found a way to use them to import a contact.

What is the nest / easiest way to get my phone contacts into the bluetooth component of the car?

Thanks

I don't think you can import your contacts into your MZ5s phone book without the voice recognition. Correct me if I am wrong anyone.... I'd highly recommend, if you have not done so, to voice train your voice recognition system to your voice. It will understand you a lot easier and faster.

I think that might be part of the problem, although I live in Canada now (and I hold dual citizenship) the car does seem to have problems with my British accent. I hesitate to train it though since then it might not work with my wife's Canadian accent!!

However, even when she was doing the speaking it still got in a mess and didn't progress as we hoped. We spent about 45 minutes and got one contact in. Then we gave up :(

Just as an update, I trained it with my voice and it is much happier now and I was able to program with ease. One of my problems was one of the contacts had 4 numbers not three. The car did nothing but the send failed. Now all I need to check is if the car understands my wife after the training.
