Door lock Broken

The lock on the front pasenger door is broken. When you open or close the locks, it chatters but does not raise or lower the lock knobs. When lock knob is raised or lowered manually, it works fine. How do I remove the interior door panel to work on reconnecting the parts? Any other suggestions? 2001 mazda Protege

I have the same problem with the rear passenger side door. Just bought the car, and the previous owner said its the solenoid. Not to sure about his statement, I think it might be the actuator.

There is reference to a "fastener remover" to remove body clips D. Not sure exactly what that tool is. Perhaps someone else can post that.

Bump. This is definitely your problem. I had to do two of my locks with this part.
