diy day tomorrow, need opinions

finally got a day off tomorrow and gonna do some maint. car is currently at 140k and manual

Maintenance:
engine oil
tranny fluid
air filter
fog light mod possibly
some bushings
clutch adjustment

what kinda tranny fluid or gear oil do u guys recommend? and also i need to adjust my clutch pedal, too much free play at the top and gears are goin in kinda rough. i remember seeing a diagram how to do it but cant find it anymore. anyone know where i can find it by any chance? thanks fellas

Amsoil or Redline
Oil drain pan capable of holding at least 3 qts or liters
M/T oil: 2.83 qts (2.68 L) API Service GL-4 or GL-5, SAE 75W-90 (All season). SAE 80W-90 if the temperature never falls below 10 deg C (50 deg F).

Another option for tranny fluid that I'm thinking about getting myself is Amsoil Synchromesh. It's supposed to help out if you have synchros that aren't happy, which would be a good thing for you to have since your gears are engaging rough (I know you said your clutch needs adjusting, but the grinding is gonna wear down the synchros).

Well just changed gear oil with valvoline but not synthetic. Holy crap does the car run so much better and gears are engaging in perfect. Didn't adjust clutch since it's shifting perfect. But I ended up with having only like 2qt oil when I drained it, strange

drive around thu all gears, including reverse and do the fluid change again.

* and always remember to recycle your fluids!
