decision dilema... need help

trying to decide between buying the exhaust package from Protege Garage $850. (manifold, dp & tp) or the CP-E full control and a corksport DP? current mods are (or will be by next week) Fujita CAI, PG TIP, WOT box/ 2step, TurboXs hybrid bov, 2nd cat delete and muffler delete.

any ideas... or maybe a different route for the money? dont really wanna spend any more than a grand.. (taxes lol)

it all depends and what you want from your car. i see that either way you are going to get the corksport DP, with that noted, the DP is going to give you the best bang for the buck performance mod you can get, IMO.

back to the what you want form your car, are you planing on upgrading the turbo at any point? if so you should wait to get the manifold until you are ready for the turbo upgrade that way it can all be all done at once.

the CP-e will be your best bet because even though you have a few mods, you can squeeze out every bit of performance with a good tune. then if you do decide to go and upgrade your turbo you will be ready to tune with the CP-e.

thats a very good point. (thank you btw) yes one day id like to go with a gt3071r or a gt2871r but thats prolly gonna be a couple years so... and ive read about the CP-E full control reflash.. but i guess i dont know all what it does besides give you real WOT?

wait do you mean that you are JUST going to get the Full Control flash? IIRC you need to have the CP-e standback first. but yeah if i were you that is the route i would take.

Why would you get the CPE when the cobb AP offers full customization for 1/3 the price ?

I would get the DP and a tune. I don't know why but exhaust manifolds are a pretty rare mod for most people. The install isn't much harder than a DP.

Get a used AP and have a local speed shop weld you up a nice custom stainless 3" catback using some Magnaflow or Borla universals.... well under $1k for both. Run the COBB OTS Stg2 tune while you save for a TMIC and a Protune.

Id do exactly like this person says! I done think the full control is all that important unless you start getting up there in the mod list. And since you even have an exhaust of any sort on the car yet. Id do the exhaust, then stage 2 plugs, or do them at the same time. And then the AP with stage 2 tune.

Wow seriously.. Its wierd aren't motorcycles loud like harleys etc. I have never been pulled over ever for noise other than too loud of a sound system.

i didnt get the noise ticket.. but, its the volume that got me the unwanted attention.. so $300 later im over the CS exhaust.. its ok im gonna put in an atp downpipe to make up for it..

That sucks man.. Its like this by law your suppose to have a front license plate on your car in Texas where I live. I dont have one on and I never got pulled over till I did it in my RX7. Honestly, I think it depends on the cop and LUCK.
