Dead Kenwood comes back to life.

I was driving down the beach Friday night after stumbling all the way home and my Kenwood just shuts off. It was bad enough that nothing I did besides WOT would dampen that dam hesitation, then the stereo dies. :wtf:! I was so fricken pissed off(pissed) , that when I got home I decided to try it again. The only thing I got were some red lines across the LCD. (thought) Just for the sake of saving a trip to the dealer and not looking like a dumb ass I hit the reset button and Walla its back. I lost all my presets including cross over & EQ settings but it beat going to the dealer. Try that next time your Kenwood shuts off.

Thats what everyone has been doing.
Or just listening to me and getting an alpine that works or the kenwood Exceleon KDC-X569.

I wouldn't recommend JVC's. Everytime mine gets hot, it won't eject the CD. I have to physically take the thing apart while i'm driving to get the CD out... i've got it down to 30 seconds though. :D

next time your radio goes dead you should hook some jumper cables up from a deep cycle battery and the other end to your nipples and lick the slot on your deck.

I agree...JVC is crap. Never had any luck with any of their gear, car or home audio, even their TV's. I was a DJ for 10 years, and worked in a Electronics shop for a few year as well.

And don't get me started on Pioneer.

As far as I know JVC & Aiwa are the same entity. I had a JVC voice support back in 95 and it went till 01, then I had a chameleon that went for 2 years before I sold it. I also owned that first Pioneer with the flip face screen to access the tape deck and my friend still has that unit in his 10th anniversary Turbo II. What ever I guess I was really lucky with my JVCs.

:D:cool:

JVC is not Aiwa. SONY is Aiwa.
JVC does ok in an overall rating as does pioneer.
When Pioneer is bad ITS BAD! they just had to recall all their amps in the country.

Hey TURBO3WAGON, nice AV...

your the ONLY other person ive ever seen with one of those guys drawings for an AV.

actually, i think i like the pioneer DEH MP 7400 or some s*** that i had in my 02 ES better than the kenwood in the MSP. as far as looks though, the kenwood is cooler.

the only thing i hate about the pioneer is the MP3 folder browsing and random play SUCK ASS

I stand corrected. The wire harness that connect to Aiwa car audio is identical to JVCs, could it be a standard harness??

If they both pluggesd directly in it could be a few things but as far as I know Aiwa has no assosication with JVC.

Um.... my stereo is messed up and I have no idea how to fix it.... I .. um... cant find the reset button (i found a random >LOAD< button, but no reset) (uhm)(scratch)

If you have a stock radio then there is no reset button. If aftermarket and of decent quality it will usualy be under the face plate and be only lage enough for the tip of a pen to press.
