DDM HID Lights

I just got the CX-5 recently, and plan to purchase HID Kit from DDM. Do I require to buy the Single Relay HID Harness when purchase the 35W HID Kit?

I had more luck, with the big coils. I have a bunch of slim ones, that did not work well.

A relay kit is not a bad idea. Rather than drawing power from the factory harness, the relay draws power directly from the battery.

I have an issue, as many who installed HID kits, that sometimes the passenger side does not turn on, automatically. I have all my lights on all the time. I have just set then to turn off 30 sec. after I turn off my car.
This way, I don't have to worry about lights. Bulbs are cheap these days, so why not?
What I'm thinking, is that maybe it would be a good idea to use a relay kit and get the signal from the driver side. Maybe this way the issue is not present.
I have a relay kit, but I was lazy to install it. Soon I will install it and I will let you know about the outcome.

I have a relay installed (Morimoto, not DDM), and I get my signal from the drivers side. Even so, the passenger side has failed to light up a couple times. Turning the lights off and back on solves the problem. This weekend I removed some paint where the ground wire is connected on the passenger side to get a better contact. So-far-so-good, but it rarely happens anyway so it means nothing right now.

I'll report back (here or in my dedicated Morimoto kit thread)...

You'll only be able to install the relay kit using the drivers side headlight as a signal because of the battery position. I have not had any issues with the lights not coming on since I've installed the lights. I have also installed a similar kit on a 16' Mazda6 and no issues either.

The only problem that I have, is the passenger side. The driver's side always turns on.
Even the Morimoto kit, has the same issue.
Hopefully the relay kit will fix my issue.
I have also installed HID projectors, in the fog light's place and they always turn on.
