the best wagon evAr..
Hey..
I just got my new brushed aluminum gauge rings from daveb.. put them in and they look soooo cool.. (see my website for pics).. They are such sweet people to deal with.. and ship them FAST. I highly recommend his work. His wife told me that mine are only the second set of the brushed ones that he has done. :D He will also be branching out soon to do a/c vents, etc.

Yeap, I just recevied my set yesterday.

They are nicely packaged and the instruction cd-rom is very helpful.

Is Dave selling any other cool stuff for our car??

Swet glad to hear you got some. Guess you felt left out Sunday being about the only one without them ;)

He has mention working on other projects when he gets the time.
This truely is a great add on for all proteges.

a/c vents huh? that'll be interesting to see... I second that about Dave and his wife. Great, friendly people and fast shipment. The added video makes it a breeze!

Love that brushed look Lisa. (yes)

I mostly got 'em because I loved the look of them on your car Rob.. it was great seeing so many mid blue p5's with mods so I could make some decisions about what to do with my baby. :D
What was your tint percentage again?

thanks Eli..
I was kinda worried about getting brushed set and how they would look.. since it was only daveb's second set he ever made of the brushed ones, I couldn't really see how they'd look with my interior.. but. I LOVE 'EM..
it was a cheap and easy mod that really improves the look of the gauges! Now, about my next mod.. decisions decisions.. :D

I'd say a set of eibach spring would give your ride the right stance you crave. :)

Springs are a good idea.. I'd need some help with the install I'm sure.. anyone available??

I didn't buy those rings because I have the factory alarm and the bezel has the led on it. I didn't wanna cut the wire and splice it...has anyone done this? Pics of the install?

Sure I'm up for helping to install the springs. Meanwhile you can paint my brakes :)

I never thought about the factory alarm...hmmmm, can't be that hard. I haven't recieved mine yet.

I was thinking about getting some sort of matching trim for the a/c vents, kinda like the special edition miata's, with the ring of chrome around them. Not sure how it would look in the protege though since our vents are square and not circles. Be very interested in seeing dave pull this off, and I would gladly deal with him again

I'm thinking about getting a set, my gauges background is black; wich do you think will look better, brushed or polished?

I saw them, it looks tight. But I'm talking about the gauge's "face", yours are white and mine are black (with green lights).
