Curb Rash fun

folks,

Wifey just took out the P5 and kissed a curb pretty nicely with the 2week old rims. Blahhhhhh.. (bang) Oh well part of life...

Anyhow. I was gonna try to repair this thing myself instead of shelling out some scratch for a new rim at the moment.

Anyone have any suggestions on paint that would match HyperBlack of some 5zigens??
I saw that duplicolor makes a graphite rim paint, just wasnt sure how close the match would be to hyperblack?

LOL. I see I am not alone. The bad thing was that she did this pulling into our subdivision. So close to being home safely. lol

Wet and dry sandpaper wetted a little to take the burrs off. Then use some liquid rubber to paint behind it and find a similar paint to match the color of your rims for the visible surface

I saw that duplicolor makes a graphite rim paint

the color of that is a little lighter and wont look as nice as the finish on there... heres an idea. call your car insurance company and see what company they use to repair wheels. they should be able to fix it up for pretty cheap

I made a call to a wheel shop and they quoted me 205 to fix that. I was like ouch. I just decided to buy one new wheel for that price . Oh well. I have a full size spare now. (nuts)

That's the reason why I've never been able to let a girl drive my MSP. It was hard enough to trust my g/f when I had my Civic. I guess being your wife, it's easier to look past it, but I'd be expecting some reimbursment if some g/f of mine did that to my wheels.

I try to get her to drive my big ole jeep, but she cant get into it with a skirt on. lol

lol. my fiance just rammed a curb after i had my car lowered. now she parks like 3 ft away. it's hilarious, but she learned.
