The e30 doesn't have 240 hp (more like 190 hp) unless it is an EVO II/III. We never got those in the States, but an interesting video non the less.

I owned an E30 M3 for a while, great car, makes me realize how crappy Mazdas are and how much I miss BMW.

e30 isn't supercharged. it has 240hp from the factory from it's I-4. There are some extremely crazy turbo e30 m's running around though, with 600+ whp.

240 from the 4 banger? Dunno about that.

it was from that show on FX where the announcer doesnt know jack crap. i remember when a 1st gen rx7 was outrunning a camaro cop in the twisties, he was like the 265 hp turbo charged super car slowly begins to pull...a)it has like 117 hp, and b) it was OWNING the cop. i also remember when a dude ran in a miata. he pwn3d the cops...they ended up having to shoot him to stop him. it was crazy

One of the members posted about going 140mph running from the police in an SA/FB RX-7 and having it on TV... then going to jail for three months. Sadly, I can't find that post anymore. hahah

COPS is not usually lame like that, but I saw an episode where they have that guy from the FX TV shows on it. He acts like a total dumbass and asks the stupidest questions. "SO THAT'S WHAT CRACK SMELLS LIKE HUH?" LOL

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's the show. They are very annoying on that show. "When you run, you're always gonna end up behind bars". I obey the rules of the road and all that but I just found their self-righteousness a little over the limit.

I also hate how they use fake sound effects on lots of these shows with sirens and crashes etc.

When i ran from the cops I almost spent the night in jail but lost my liscence for over a year and had to sell the supra. Over a grand a month for insurance was going to be way too much. The BMW got away they just don't want anyone to think they can outrun cops otherwisw everyone will try it. The sad thing is that most of the cop cars are not going to do good in a high speed chase. A friend of mine is a cop and she said you wouldn't believe the crappy shape most of the cars are in. They also aren't built for high speed chases.
