Cluster swap question!!!. 99 to 01

Hey people, i just got a 01 cluster for my 99 protege ES. it plugs right in! but im having trouble, when i turn the cluster on. my ebrake light stays on and my heat gauge is always on full, and my high beams light doesnt show in the cluster when turn it on. Everything else seems to work fine! Anyone out there has an experience with this? and what they did to fix it? thanks alot!

i read online that if you have a car with key-less entire you must get a cluster from a key-less entire car if you get it from a non key-less entire car it will have problems.
