Cloudy spots

A while back after a heavy rain, I noticed several cloudy spots in the clear coat around the body lines. Anyone else had this problem?

same here, had rained for days a few months back and the clear coat bubbled up and then started peeling like a sunburn. car looks ugly with the s***.

its called clear coat peel and its from uv damage, most of the time. usually not adequately washing and waxing the car causes it, road chemicals can cause it especially if not washed off. so can dirty brush operated car washes, when used too often. cheap clear coat from an aftermarket paint job sometimes does this on its own as well, some cars from 95-00 have this issue the 626 was one some if the proteges have it and many fords and chevys from that era have it as well, it was a paint supllier with a bad run of clearcoat supplied to factories

My car stays clean most of the time and it wasnt a gradual thing. One day it was fine and the next morning it had cloudy spots all over it. And its not peeling off, its just clouded up like someone layed down clear real heavy and it coulded up.
