CAI Installed Quick Q

Alright my Injen CAI is installed and ready to rock.

One question, before that I just had some cheap cone filter on that, and I did hear the infamous "Gooble/Turkey" sound, but it was deep thoarted. Now with the CAI it sounds like someone kicked the Turkey in its nuts! It sooo high piched and sooo loud now!

My only thought is that the "Gooble" is resonating(sp?) of the Injen piping(aluminium?sp). Since the piping is different from plastic it has a higher tone.

Any thoughts on this?

Any thoughts on how to kill the turkey?

Thanks in adavance.

E MAN

RazorP5- I dun have any pics, it is hooked up perfectly(I tripled checked everthing is nice and tight and solid)

there is none man, at least with the cai and the stock bpv.

dont matter. i put an HKS SSQ BOV on mine and still
had to turkey. so to sum up,
Injen + HKS = Mad thanksgiving feast.

and yes, actually like pro5man said....at first i hated it but now i dont mind it at all and its kinda cool cuz its different from all the whoosh whooshes

Purely speculative, but my turkey seems to have gotten quieter over the past few days, or I'm getting used to it. When I first put it on, I thought it was too loud, but at least it sounds like it has a turbo now.

I remember on my race car with dual side draft Webers, when you alter the mixture, it would acutally alter the intake sound.

Maybe the PCM has recurved the mixture in the few days since the Injen went on.

Any recirculating Bypass Valve will make that sound, it is the turbulence from the air being injected back into the intake pipe. Get a blow off and the neighbors can hear your turkey.
