As you can see in this picture:

BrokenNut.jpg

Was trying to LOOSEN the nut and it snapped off (pretty frickin odd to me must have been weakend last time i tightened it on)

Anywho can get other 3 off but cant remove cover as it is still actually screwed in on the broken one. Any ideas on how to get it off?

Also can you replace the bolts for the engine cover?

help or advice would be greatly appreciated

well, i cant really tell from the pic how much clearence you got, but i would sugges dremmeling it off...

You know what, I would scrap the car. It's no good anymore, might as well part it out. I got dibbs on the tranny and axles!!

Yanno, I've snapped off one of the bolts on the radiator support brackets. It's still sitting there.

s***!! i'll take it, i think an engine cover is still good on mine!

Since no one else want to help I'll see what I can do.

Try gettting a screw removal tool. I dont think that is the correct name but what it does is kinda taps itself into the screw and starts to twist it like a normal screw. You could try getting a dremal and making a slit across the top and then use a screw driver to take it out.

Other than that, IDK.

i dont think the screw is removable, from what i recall i think it is part of the valve cover. If so maybe jb weld, if that is heat safe.Even than it would be to weak. hmmmmm...

my friend did the same to my car... he twisted the nut clockwise while he was trying to take it off... omg!! u dun know how piss i was!anyways.. that's 1 less nut for u to take out when u try to take off the engine cover ;)
