I'd like to thank the members who posted about installing a boost guage. I've never installed one before but got all the information I needed from the forums. It took me about 5hrs to get mine in and get it wired but it is so clean looking it might as well be stock.

Hopefully when the Profec B gets here I'll manage to do the same.

Thanks,

Autometer Pro-Comp Ultralite Boost Guage in A-Pillar Pod

i did it right off the harness under the steering wheel, its a rats nest of wire but hey it works hehe. and for the ground under the steeringwheel ot the right is a peice of metal worked good for a ground.

I just got my gauges in today...Autometer boost, oil pressure, and A/F ratio and an a-pillar 3 pod, uh, gauge pod...There was a screw up with the shipping, so I couldn't do them today. I'll try to tackle this on Saturday, so I'll be sure to post pics. I've got to read up on what I'm gonna need, so I'm ready to go...I may not hook up the oil pressure gauge yet though, cause I just changed my oil a week ago.

I will post pics as soon as i get hold of a dig. camera...

I grounded the light to a bolt under the steel frame that sits behind the a-pillar, just loosened it and slid a connector underneath it. I wired the 12v down to the wiper blade fuse. I had to use a stiff piece of wire to feed everything down the slot on the side of the dash. After the pillar is reinstalled it covers everything up and makes it look nice and clean.

5 hours? How long do you think it might take some one who had experience with that sort of install?

an hour at MOST.
it seriously took me like 30 mins to do my gauge

30 mins, are you serious LOL took me 10 to put in my boost gauge and the part that took the longest was poking a hole in the rubber grommet and that took me 4 min and 30 seconds ;op haha j/k took me about 15 mins to install my boost guage.

yeah i know, im being really generous with the time thing....well, i took pictures at every step too though, so it really did take me about 30 minutes...but its like a 15 min job, yeah.

wont it drip oil since you are hooking a T off the oil sensor thing....
if you're mounting it inside the cockpit, it's dangerous to put a mechanical gauge in there anyways, so it should be electrical. if you are running a mechanical gauge and t off of the oil pressure sending unit, if the car is off there isn't much oil there anyways so it won't be a big thing
