I installed mine in the left vent on the dash very sleek and clean, people ask me all of the time if it's stock

plus you could have drilled a hole in the stock a pillar and run the hose a little neater

Yeah that's what the directions say to do. Remove the A pillar and drill holes but I wanted to be able to remove it and not have holes in my pillar; Well that and I'm shall we say, "Drill challenged."

looks nice. I just got a boost gauge. maybe you can show me how you did it.

I'll take some photos of the install if you want.

Why the F#$% won't Mazda release at LEAST a boost gauge for their MAzdaspeeds. I mean, you'd think the damn car would come with one anyways!

I guess they don't want the average joe seeing that MAzda f'd up the tuning and they all aren't running at 6.9

AMEN!

No s*** I would have driven it back and told the chodes to get that boost right!
I paid for 6.9 and I want 6.9.
Well now I have 9-11 (2thumbs)

Yes and No.

I live 42 miles South of Downtown but I work on 7TH street.
In a 40 story tower. We have a niced locked parking garage.
The hardest part was making the opening in the foam grommet attached to the firewall under the washer motor.
I used a long thin flathead about 12'' in length and pushed it through the grommet from the inside being careful not to harm any of the wires going through it.
I then took a straightened out close hanger and inserted the tip of the hanger into the end of the 1/8'' hose and pushed the tip with the hose attached through the grommet opening while I was laying in the floor board. Worked like a champ.
It has avery tight seal around the hose and there was a perfect amount of hose to reach just the right spot on the A-pillar.
The only problem I had was kinking the hose when I pulled it through and then going WHY THE HECK IS MY GAUGE NOT WORKING! Doh! Kinked hose all better now.
I dont have the light hooked up at the moment but it is a very simple task to do and I will install it this weekend.

All in all it wasnt too bad. I did read an install guide one of the members put togther.

Yes here it is wonderful work.

I think there are 3 Black MSP's in "Funky Town."

Yes all the time when I drive to work and I just barely pull up to speed limit about 60-65MPH. I have gotten 36 MPG doing this.
I am at about 10-22'' of vacuum when I drive this way totally out of the boost and it seems to get very good mileage.
I had this brochure from Texaco a long time ago that suggested doing this to save gas so I did.

Why ask now ya Goomba?
