Best MPG

BOOSTR

1 OWNR MSP
Went up I-75 North to Georgia today. Felt like driving the MSP for a good distance. A 318 mile round trip. Got my best MPG's yet, 31.67 miles per gallon. I always drove too fast to see that many before. Use to getting 25 or less.

Congrats! My mileage seems to have increased with the new intake manifold... I used to get about 280 miles from 12 gallons. I'll post more info when I've burned a tank.

Daily driving to work, with a few full throttle runs, ill get about 350 to 380 miles before my light comes on.

Usually at 6000-6500. For this trip, I kept it under 80 the whole. I was able to drive 90 miles before the the needle fell below the "F" mark. It was the first time that I hit 30+ MPG's since buying the car. No a/c either. So I guess driving a bit faster with the a/c on, the MPG's I get aren't so bad. But I have to slow down and getting better gas mileage will make me do just that. And the FHP!

Well this last tank I think I am getting about 26.5mpg. This includes Rush Hour bumper to bumper / long 80mph runs for about 45miles.

The previous tanks (driving the car much harder) I was getting about 23.5mpg

So with those when I goto flordia this spring I think I will get hopefully 33mpg.

Oh I typically drive 75-80mph.

I shift at 3K unless I go into boost. I try to stay out of boost as much as possible though, no more than 1-2psi unless I floor it.

Huh? I don't see why you would shift so low. I hope you are not boosting at such low rpms.

I don't boost in low rpms and I never boost when the engine is cold. In fact I rarely use my turbo

I tried staying out of boost for a couple tanks, but there was almost no difference in mileage for me... :-( I'm lucky to get 300 mi until I see a gas light.

u guys need to buy a civic. i boost in every gear. including reverse. and i shift at 7k including reverse

I got 440 miles of 12 gallons driving no faster than 60MPH.
I hated it :( I normally get 380 to just over 400
miles while speeding a bit.
