Attention FreeAux-ers

2006 Mazda5 Touring
Help me out here, i have looked at the post from the MS6 forum and would like a little advice. I would love to do the Free-Aux Mod, but really want a drop in alternative. Are the Grom Audio units any good? 100 Bucks is pretty dear for something i can probably do myself for about three bucks. That and I really suck at soldering and don't really want to risk screwing up the back of my stereo. Can I use little mini spades to make those connections? I was also confused by one of the photos in the MS6 thread, it makes it look like they bought a plug that would fit the back of the OE radio. Is that the case? TIA for any help you can render guys Ross

I used the Aux-mod back in the day on my Mazda Protege5 and it worked great. But in my '07 Mazda 5 I went the Grom Audio route. Why Grom Audio? Pretty much solely for the Bluetooth integration. With my iPhone I can now make and receive phone calls via bluetooth/factory stereo as well as stream my music from my iPhone over Bluetooth to my factory stereo.
