Anyone wire there radar to the rear dimming mirror?

Thinking about wiring it up into the overhead light area for my valentine. Anyone see any issues from that?

I tried it and there wasnt enough power plus the radar gets in the way mounted up top so I would just hard wire it into the cig lighter like I did.

Thats what I'm going to do. I'm gonna suck it up and take it to a shop though, just to be safe. I'm waiting on a custom made black 24" phone cord(Valentine uses phone cords for power wires). Hopefully the Tronix is wrong and there is enough power to run it!!! I'll let u know how it goes.

That's what Valentine gives you by default. They give you a coiled cord for the cigarette lighter and a straight cord for hardwiring it.

U can't use the lights, they have power all the time. that's why I want to use the 12Volt line to the mirror, its only on when the ignition is on. I'm going to go up to circuit city tomorrow and see if they can do it for me cheap. Should only take 5 minutes. If I knew which was he 12Volt switched power I'd prob do it myself. there are 3 wires running to the lights, I'm guessing a switched power, an always on power and a ground. I'll let u guys know how it goes, I may go out there with a voltmeter and just do it myself.
