Anyone tried Bosch platinum +4 on P5?

Hi all,

Have you guys tried Bosch Platinum 4+ spark plugs on your Protege5?

I wonder if it will do harm to the engine or affect the emission...

And does it really give you more power?

I switched from NGK's to +4's on my CRX, and the fuel economy went for a s**t.
Switched back to NGK's after a few months, and everything was good again.

Not on a P5, but I tried them on my old turbo toyota 4x4 and that sucked ass! I'd advise you stay clear IMO

Yeah, in my experience, anything other than NGK or Denso plugs will hurt the performance of most Mazda and other Japanese engines.

I had them on my protege5 before i went nitrous..and i think that it gave the car better throttle response....but inreference to the gas...i don't know..i only had them on for 1 month!

I felt a difference with the BOSH +4 better response and gas mileage.

NGK IRDIUM didn't do S**T for me

I've got a set of the +4's in now, have been in for about 6 months. No problems, gas mileage is the same...maybe a little better throttle response but minimal.
