anyone know how to install P5owner EL Door sills?

1. Where does the black wire go.. I dont know which one is the door swtich wire.

2. where does the red wire go? It says 12V DC battery.. i'm guessin that's not the car battery? but u have to buy a separte battery?

can someone explain to this car illiterate dork how to do this!??
 
damn.. no one talks in english now-a-days =\

still confused.. dont know what a room fuse or fuse tap or whatever is. jsut need help on that.

the blue wire in my diagram is the one refered to in the pictures (black wire with blue stripe) also its recommended that you fuse your connection no more than 6in from the battery terminal with a 2-5 amp fuse, i have a 5amp with no problems

if you arent comfortable with splicing wires, you could get one of these:

it will cost you about $5-6. just make sure you get the mini add-a-circuit. this will go into your fusebox that is located on the drivers side. connect the power wire to the add-a-circuit and clamp it shut (where the blue rubber cover is). the ground wire will go to the door pin switch. this way whenever you open either door they will come on.
 
YEAH!!! finally.. anyhow.. I got that mini fuse thing that jay was talkin about.. Works perfectly.. thanks a bunch.. then i did the black wire with the blue strip thing from p5owner.. what a combination ;)
 
just make sure you hide and ziptie all loose wires and it should be good for a long time, ive had mine for 2 years and its still working perfectly
