Anyone has the Mazda OEM hitch?

Does anyone know if the Curt wiring harness will work with the LED lighting package? The eTrailer website says no.

It probably works but I would contact eTrailer. They have really good tech support and seem to do a lot of real world testing with their products on the actual vehicles.

I ordered the Curt class 2 without the wiring harness. I'll deal with the harness at a later date as I don't need to tow a trailer right away.

All of my hitch accessories are 1-1/4". It would cause me a lot of hassle and expense of switching over to a 2" hitch.

If most of your accessories are 1.25" then you bought what you needed...no problem there.

I just use the Curt harness that taps into the factory harness. It was super easy to install... I converted all my trailer lights to LED so limited load on electrical. Sure... something could short out the trailer lights and take out rear lights...but I carry extra fuses and have never had anything like that happen to me in 25 years.

I haven't towed with it yet, but I did test the system with a test light before I buttoned it up and everything worked as it was supposed to.
