Anyone got a pic of sedan lights on a P5

Anyone have a Picture of the Sedan LIghthousings on a P5?

Also if you could tell me how difficult the swap was it would be greatly apprecatied

do you mean headlights? if so, i doubt you will find any one that has done the swap. most people with sedans are going the other way.

I'm confused sorry

I'm looking for a P5 with Sedan light housings aka headlights

I was told alot of people have done the swap in the U.S...guess i'm wrong!

Just look at the front of an MP3 or MSP, it'll look the same from the front (they both have the single lamp headlights). Dunno why you'd want to do such a swap, but to each his own.

Well i want to go for the Black light housing look....and i know a guy who doesn't want the black light housings in his 2003 GT...so i figured we'ed swap...but i don't know how it looks...that's the only reason why i'm concidering it!

like kevin said, just look at the front of an MP3 or a Mazdaspeed. it will look like that.

swapping your p5 headlamps with a sedans is super hard. basically you have to rewire your whole engine. i wanted to do it too until i found out how hard it is to do. just take apart your headlamp and paint it black. i did and it looks great.

i tried to do it(because i thought it was just different wiring harnesses), but i couldnt so i took it to a body shop. they said these headlamps were totally different to install these would be real hard because they would have to re-wire the engine bro.

Then your body shop is smoking something. Look at it this way, there's three wires per headlamp; ground, hi, low. On the MP3, MSP, and standard sedan, each of the three wires are terminated into a single <lamp> socket. On the MP5, the ground wire is, for reasons of simplicity, basically setup in a 'Y' configuration. The result is 4 wires, 2 grounds, hi, and low. These 4 wires are then terminated into 2 <lamp> sockets.

There is one issue, however, that just came to mind. When the P5's hi-beams are energized, the low beams remain on. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but arent the P5's high and low beam bulbs the same? The high beam effect is created by 4 (identical?) bulbs.

not just that the p5 has bumper lights the sedan has the lights in the actual housing. the bodyshop said they tried. also ask sean from auto r&d he has p5 lights on his mp3 and he said it was real hard. you should try it and then tell me how easy it was.;)

i don't know. it seems to me that the hardest part would be taking the bumper off, or figuring out which light wire goes where. as for the corner light, you can just leave it out. it's not like it flashes or anything.
