We have had a 2010 Mazda5 GT for two weeks now and are quite happy with it so far. Really enjoy the extra 5 inches of seat height and the sliding doors. One issue with the Mazda that does stand out compared to the late model VWs we own is the noise of debris flying about in the rear wheel housings. I notice that the last gen Mazda6 has spun fiber rear wheel housing liners. Anyone try to adapt these to the Mazda5?
Thanks.

Welcome!

I can't say that I've noticed excessive debris noise like you describe. Is your undercoating intact? You could always add more or insulate the wheel well on the inside. Do the rears have inner fender liners? I don't remember seeing any.

If you look in the rear wheel housing, you do see some holes in there that looks like mounting points for fasteners such as when there is a plastic/or maybe fiberglass liners.. On the otherhand, liners may not be advantageous as salt can easily gather inbetween liner and the metal surface. At least without liners those salt and debris can all be cleaned out during car washing.
