Adding Tweeters to 2012 Mazda5 GS

The base model Mazda5 comes prewired for tweeters in the doors so I figured I'd add some. It's one of those just for fun and need to do it because I know the wires are there type of mods, so I just got some cheap ($6) tweeters from eBay. Seems to sound better maybe, but mostly looks a lot better. Not bad for $6 and 20 minutes.

I have thought about these before, as the stock location is not ideal for the 2012+ dash. If this were my daily driver, I would get some Sport cover panels and relocate the tweeter elsewhere.

Weird. My Sport comes with tweeters, but its also a US spec car.

^ That's what I was thinking - I have a Sport, base spec with zero options, and I have tweeters in the door sail panels. Apparently a US/Canada spec thing.

I have a 2010 Mazda 5 sport and it comes with tweeter on the door also.

Didn't know that it's standard on all the US models... Guess it's just for the Canadian Mazda5 GS models then...

When I was looking at MZ5s, Sports in my area did not come with tweeters. This was in early 2012.
