a friend of mine that i work with just traded in his spec-v and got a black mica msp i apears that there is a 53 page recall pending on the spec-v's and other guy i know at my work with a spec-v is looking at a rodeo so all you what should i buy people out there might want to steer clear of that one

first and second year i belive one complaint ive read from several people is burning oil up 2qts ever 1500 miles but i dont know if this aplies to the new ones as well

Yeah there is a recall. But still. It just comes down to this. Do you like a turbo or not? If so, then get an MSP or SRT-4 or something with a turbo or that you can add a turbo to. The Spec V b15 engine is not the easiest to turbo and there can be problems with it. The recall is actually on earlier Spec V models. The recall may just replace the entire engine for some.
So the recall is not the worst thing on Earth. The Spec V is a car that some really enjoy. And to tell you the truth a lot of cool people own Spec V's! I hung out with some guys at NOPI and they were wonderful. So a recall should not necessarily swing the vote full throttle over to MSP!
