Accident

I was thinking about it but right now I could only afford to get the front bumper so I think it wouldn't too good with just the front so I'm gonna hold off on that.

Do you have any better pics of the bumper? I didn't see any scratches that go to the base/rubber. Just some minor scuffs that will clean off the bumper (unless all I saw was the bugs :) ). You are nuts if you think it needs replacing :). As for the lip, I wouldn't replace that either based on the pics- 1st- is it even noticeable with the duct/whatever it is that snaps in there? 2nd- if so, they have urethane repair epoxy that will fix the crack. Where it is, I wouldn't even bother. I would get a good estimate from the body shop to replace the pieces and paint them, get your "friend" to pay for it and then just take it back and get the bumper buffed (if the scratches aren't through) and the lip repaired and pocket the rest of the $$$ :).

The straches on the bumper are really minimal but the guy at the body shop said he would have to respray it. I might not even have them do that, i might just have them buffed out because I can live with the scratches if I can use that money to buy something else fo the car. Accidents happen all the time and I don't wanna be all paranoid and fix the everytime something small happens. But as far as the lip, I'll ask the body shop about the epoxy but I might just get a new one anyway because I'm not paying for it. But I don't wanna just screw my friend over with the money because we are really good friends and he has some REALLY good connections. His brother is part owner of www.gothamracing.com along with Steve Kaan and some other guys. But I'm gonna get as much out of this as I can.

A slight off topic, but has anyone noticed how our bumper upper corner, where it meets the headlight and fenders stick out? It's not flush with the fender. You can actually push the corner in, and it will bounce back out. I can clearly see it on your car, YellowSpeed17. This has nothing to do with your accident. It's just got our bumpers are formed and installed. I just had to point this out.

This 'flaw' can be seen in the picture where you have a wider shot of your car.

The bumper cover SHOULD be flush. There's a clip under the headlight housing itself that you may want to check and see if you can get it attached to... I know I had to unclip it to take the headlights out when I removed the amber lenses.

i have to say that i've never removed the bumper before nor has anyone else. I got the car and never did it anything to did involve anything in that area. I just noticed it about a month ago.
I don't think it had to do with the clip under the headlight or near it. Can that clip come off from a bump on the road? I honestly don't think so...it's just a weird flaw i find that on my car.
