a stupid computer question

One of my computers is a pentium 3 550mhz (i know its old but it gets the job done) it has two fans on it and one of them is not working properly( it slow down then its speeds back up) you know if i can change it and where can i buy a replacement. thanks

is it the cpu fan or the case fan?

cpu could be 60-80mm

case could be 80-92mm

can you measure the fan?

If the CPU has 2 fans on it, it may be a slot 1 PIII. In which case, it could be a smaller fan.

If you can take the fan off, just measure it, and you should be able to find a replacement at several online retailers.

Newegg is always a good place for parts.

yeah it has two small fans on it, it is a slot one i think cuz it doesnt look like the new square cpus its more like a rectangle

Nah, if they are fans on a slot CPU they are probably 40s.
