.3bar I found you at last....free at last...free at last

This is all that my car needed, for 3 weeks straight I drove in boostless misery. I got it installed today and all I got to say is (wow)....I could not believe the difference in power from stock at just 5psi. It pulls and pulls and pulls and....well u Spool FI guys know the rest. On my way back from MD(that is where I found my spring). Took out a CelicaGT-S,(guy didn't bother to look over) Altima 3.5SE(who was riding my tail) and 3series beamer...(I left him too fast to see what exact # it was). The exhaust note is mad intimidating. I got camaro guys and mustang guys turning their heads to see where the rumble is coming from. Not to mention the car alarms that I set off at the garage at my job. So far none of the big boys want to race. Well I'll see how long that lasts.(naughty)

You got it!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet! Man this part was a nightmare for me to locate. Thankgod! Glad you are happy. Just monitor your boost gauge frequently just in case you dont get boost spike with the cold weather.
Take care and have fun:D

Yo spool thanks for all the help man, I appreciate it. Dude you set the standard for customer service. Plus I definetly would recommend your kit to anyone who got gasoline in their veins. I tell ya, it is so hard sitting here in the office when I could be kicking some forward velocity on the streets.

How was the race with the Celica GTS?

I pulled on one myself about 3 weeks ago on the highway. I had to downshift to 3rd because he took off 1st. Then I caught, and passed him. I need to really upgrade my exhuast badly. :(

The GT-S was a no contest....he was flying behind me weaving through traffic, but made the mistake on getting on my tail. I pulled over to the right lane so he can get up next to me. Had already dropped it in 4th going 55. And it was BYE, BYE after that. I saw him curse his horses in the rear view while I pulled away in my my Blue Chariot of Fire.(I watched Ben Hur recently). :D

Nice going. Let's see some dynos!

terry-why would people be getting spikes in boost?

Higher boost levels are normal when the temp drops drastically.........just wanted to make sure that they did not go over 5 psi due to the 30 degree weather in VA

Boy I can't wait to get my spool kit after reading the adventures you guys have been having with your turbo mp3's

I keep forgeting that you are making almost 200 whp. I hope to be there soon.:(

Did some racing last night. As some of you know I have been running 10 psi daily for some time now. Well it was pretty cold out last night in the 50's. And I was boost spiking to 12psi. So I raised up the fuel and raced a Blue WRX with upgraded turbo boosting 18psi, front mount, emanage and other goodies. We were dead even!! This is from a roll ofcourse. But man I have never felt my car so strong it was a beast!!!! I was getting tire slippage in 3rd gear!!!!

............disclaimer.........I do not reccommend this!!!!!! I did this at my own risk with properly retarded timing and adquate fuel with very acceptable egt's and a/f ratios. I would never blindly risk blowing up my car without the proper monitoring equipment ect

...but man it was so cool. The guy was tottaly astonished.

Thanks Stou, man this cool weather is awesome.....raced a late model Porshe Carrera today from a 30mph roll and smoked him !!!(laugh)

I bet if we passed 80 though he would have start gaining fast.
I really need to get my car back on the dyno at this temp, i would not be surprised if I was making 230whp at 10-11psi in this weather:D

Dude, get him to post on the Nasioc (I-Club) forum. (thumb)

230 to the wheels(wow)....That is like insane crazy mad Hp for stock internals....My friend who has a turboed GSR is getting 230WHP but he's got forged rods and has some head gasket, piston ring work done. He spins out in 4th gear ....I told him about your current record and he was truely amazed for stock internals. Now the thing that comes to mind is if I boost close to that hp figure with stage 4. I am going to have terrible traction in almost all of 1-2-3gears. I currently have next to no wheel hop when I launch...hmmm, now that could be the way I launch (and brand spankin new tires) but anyhow anyone find anything yet about Mazdaspeeds LSD. I talked to one of the service guys at the stealership and he said it would not work due to the difference in the diameter of the axels and what not. Then again would LSD make it easier to contain this power and put it solidly to the wheels...mazdaspeed has way less hp then what we are putting to the wheels so LSD could come in handy...but what about cars with higher hp??

I may sound stupid but what spring is he talking about that he found in MD(deepcover in the first post)? Just curious, is it something particular to the MP3?
Mike

I set my boost using a spring in my external wastegate, I guess you can call it the manual way of setting what boost you want to run on a turbocharged car. Mike....(Not a stupid question)...even I didn't know what a wastegate spring was when I first started installing my kit.
