Ouch- MORE??? I couldn't get my dealer to budge more then $150 on the sticker.. He said it is because he isn't a large volume MSP dealer, he doesn't have a lot of room to work..

Ouch- MORE??? I couldn't get my dealer to budge more then $150 on the sticker.. He said it is because he isn't a large volume MSP dealer, he doesn't have a lot of room to work..

He didn't have alot of room to work with because he knew you were going to buy. They will tell you what they need to in an effort to sell. No biggie, it's just been a buyer's market for the past 2 years so you should be able to work a deal to your advantage with a great deal of patience and resolve.

Actually, I was going to go to another dealer and buy it there.. Even the other guy said he couldn't do any better.. I have heard form friends at Mazda dealers that there isn't much room to work with on the MSP between paying the $12k just to sell them unless it is a large volume dealer. They said the markup on the MSP isn't enough for them to do it if they only have a few..

Is the 12k dealers have to pay for real? I spoke to the sales manager here in NC and he said they just keep shipping them speeds. They never paid for any exclusive rights or anything.

I've seen the Concord NH one out in front of the dealseship for 2-3 months.

I also think its more like $1200 buyin to sell Mazdaspeeds. (probably for the mat and neon sign)

I'm not actually planning on buying it, it's just nice to see my account there as the highest bidder for it for the moment.

My top bid was $13K, I really doubt it that they'll ignore their reserve of $21K and sell it to me for that much.

If I win and they want to sell it I'll s*** in pants and even though I wasn't planning on buying a new car now I'd get it because that'd be a great deal.
