i dont think its clunk season, i have an 03 and it hasnt clunked, from what i read here, clunk season is the winter...

there is no "clunk" season. This is a myth. Mine wear out 24/7/365 as do most of the ones I'm dealing with.

Bushings wear out, they fail, they clunk. They wear out faster on rougher roads. Wet weather makes them slip more, wear faster as well. Cold has nothing to do with it. The struts/bushings squeaking when cold...now that's a seasonal problem or a temp. problem.

Thanks guys. Was just curious

newf - any updates from Mazda as far as a PERMANENT FIX? My dealership said they haven't heard anything from Mazda...:bs:

..or have you dropped the Torch since your selling your MP3?

I have not dropped the torch at all. In fact since I have purchased another mazda with the possibility of having the same problem, I am even more eager.

Those of you that are paying attention to my posts, and are smart, should be able to figure out why I have been quiet on this topic as of late.

I have not, nor will I give up. I want to see this thing through till the end.

......I can say, we have Mazda USA heavily involved now. So, you guys rest assured, efforts are being made on both sides of the border. Japan is also heavily involved.

can't say more.

Mine hasn't done it yet and road's here in Chicago blow chunks like no other and I'm pretty hard on the car. I like to see what it can do around a corner or take it to redline and see what 11psi feels like, but still no clunk, knock on wood with my fingers crossed.

Apparently bushing wear on the rear sway bar bushings, though there may be multiple reasons.

I get a small clunk, sort of like a piece of sheetmetal being conaved/convexed, but only on certain bumps at certain times. Noticed it a lot while off-roading (in a field I was parked in for a sportscar race).
