I've been browsing the canadian craigslist and I can see a variety of CHEAP Protege's in Canada- 189k KM (114k miles) for $2k.


Anybody know anything about importing vehicles from canada? I may call this dealer tomorrow if it's possible.

Not sure about importing, but beware the Canadian rust... That $2k might not be so cheap after all.

I have a program on my computer that I used in forensic's class to look at the photos on the protege. now...in the door seams at the bottom could tell a different story (and are totally fixable), but it appears as if there is 0 rust on the wheel wells.

If it's going to cost me less than $500 to register, license, and import it, I may be buying a canadian car.

Would definitely make for a fun road trip, and I doubt properly importing would be hard.
