'02 P5 w/51K miles - Fair Deal?

Wondering what your guys' thoughts were on this one:

The MSP wheels are a nice touch. Pedals and shift knob not-so-much. But those can be easily modified.

Not bad at all. Get those VatoZone pedals and shifter out of there and it looks like a solid ride at a pretty decent price.

Yeah - that's a 6-hour drive for me. It's tentatively sold according to the salesman, but who knows. That could've been a line. Will call them again when I get home and run the carfax if it's still available.

Sunroof and no leather seats? I thought those two options were a package deal. Maybe that only applied to the '03...

Then again, maybe I am thinking leather seats (with side air bags) and ABS brakes are the package deal. A "maybe I can stop faster- but if not I won't die" package... haha

Our P5 had leather and no sunroof so they definitely weren't a package deal. Ours was an 02.5.

definetly a great price for the mileage thats on it..looks mint also..my p5 is a 03 n has no leather or sunroof guys..the leather is a dealer option and i guess 03 has no sunroof but comes with triptronic

I assembled all this information a while back on another forum and as far as I know it is the most accurate and comprehensive comparison of the different style P5s that were produced.


2002
This was the first year the P5 was offered in the US. It was basically an ES with hatchback styling, but a couple other minor differences.

Standard Equipment

* Flip-up cupholders
* No tiptronic automatics
* Different manual shift knobs
* White colored gauges
* Swirl style wheels
* Roof Rack
* No clear side markers
* No tweeters
* No leather option

Optional Equipment

* In-dash 6CD Changer
* Sunroof

2002.5
The mid year 2002 refresh models, and the 2003 models were almost exactly the same, but not quite. The 02.5 came with the following options:

This was the last of the P5 models to come out and there was a very limited number of them available. They had all the previous options, except for the roof rack and midnight blue color, and received a unique spare tire subwoofer.
