2026 CX-5 Google Assistant and Apple CarPlay at the same time?

Hello all,

If anyone has a 2026 CX-5, can you tell me if it is possible to have Google Assistant work if you also are using Apple Car Play? And if so, how did you set it up? It seems as though if I have one working, as soon as I try to set up the other one, it undoes the first one.

@Batman88 Don't have a 2026 CX-5 but had a look online and the short answer appears to be...No, they can't operate at the same time. Looks like you only have two options...

One option is to keep CarPlay running and let Siri handle the microphone and adjust vehicles features like climate control manually.

The other option is to disconnect CarPlay entirely and connect your iPhone via standard bluetooth for calls/audio while utilizing Google Assistant for navigation and voice commands.

Hopefully other 2026 CX-5 Owners can step in here to confirm and provide additional input...Keep us updated on how you end up configuring your infotainment.
