Hello everyone
Last week this previously reliable car had a catastophic cylinder head crack and blew all of the coolant out of the #2 cylinder. It was towed to a non AAA shop and the mechanic wanted to rebuild the top end that had gotten so hot that it fried thespark plug wires and boots and oh, it needed a new fuel pump at the same time. I believed the blown cylinder head but smelled freshly grilled rat about the fuel pump. So I decided to send the car to one of these shops that specializes in installing used engines from Japan. Everything went well untill that shop tried to start the car, it will turn over but wont fire.
When the tow truck dropped off the car at shop #2, we tried to get the mileage on the speedometer but couldnt even though the battery was connected. The project is stalled untill after Memorial day. Depressing clue #1 about the shop. They have a sign out front that says "master mechanis wanted".
Any idea's that may help the guy?(headshake
