MS3 GT Black Mica w/nav
I dont want to buy all that stuff on auto geek I am looking at what I can pick up locally like at Pepboys ect.

I used the NXT and it seems to be nice but thought I would try that blue Zymol liquid stuff but dont know anything more then reading the label and appearing to be a good product.

Anyone use it or should I try something else?

Also these cleaner waxes, can they be used often or do they strip clear coat?

no cleaner wax wont strip clear coat but if used to often it will dull the paint/spiderweb the finninsh. I used to use the zymol stuff at work since it was a high end place. It is very hard to work with! if its the real stuff it is made with bees wax and gives the best finish, but also last just as long as you would think bees wax would. hope that helps.

this is the stuff.

It says to use a minimum of 2-4 times a year for best protection. So how many times should I really be using it?

Do cleaner waxes provide UV protection like the synthetic stuff?

Also can I apply it over the NXT that is already on the car? I figured since its a paint protector I might as well leave it on but figured the Zymol would remove some of it being that its a cleaner wax.

Thanks for educating me with any input guys.

I personally like Zymol. I think it's easy to work with, either with a buffer or by hand. The only two I use are Zymol or Meguiars (not the NXT stuff because I havn't got a chance to use it yet) and then it comes down to what the condition of the car is in.

You used that same zymol I put a link of?

I was considering doing that pinnacle and wolfgang combo but I think its a bit over priced and over kill. I suppose If I garraged a high end car then that would be fine but for a daily driver I am looking for something a bit easier to work with.

I figured I would use this Zymol and follow as it says with soem cold water spray to set it up nice. I was going to get a spray bottle of ice water and lightly spray it down and wipe it with my micro fiber towels to finish it up.

The NXT seems good but I wont know what to compare to until I try other stuff out.

Can I just leave the NXT on the car then use Zymol over it?

its best when you know you are going to wax to use a high consintration of soap when washing it that should be enuff to get all the old stuff off.

You are talking about dish soap right?

I thought maybe since the NXT was synthetic that it would leave some protection on the paint and the Zymol would shine it up since it has carnubua and other oils in it.

How often a year should I be using this stuff? The bottle says minimum of 3-4 times but you had said that I could over do it.

zymol gives a nice deep shine, but doesn't last long at all. I find I get maybe a month out of it, before I need to do the whole car again. It also doesn't work well with buffers because the liquid is thin.

So what are your suggestions on what to use?

I may just return it and go with autogeek if that is my best choice but could you hook me up with some links and tips on what to do.

I would really appreciate any info, thanks.

PS I am doing all by hand so please dont recommend stuff that needs a buffer.

I have meguiars NXT wash and their detail spray so if that doenst work with what you suggest let me know what will. I typically wipe the car down daily with microfiber and a quick detailer so I can go 2 weeks with out washing and preserve the wax.

I just switched to the meguiers gold class and it seems to be holding up a lot better and it applies and comes off easier. I also used a random orbit buffer for the first time with the gold class so that could have something to do with it. Don't get me wrong zymol is a great wax, but it just doesn't last. If you use it make sure you take it off or do the final polish with a damp cloth. Otherwise its impossible to get it to look even because it makes the paint look darker in some spots. My car is black mica by the way so its hard to keep really shiny. Here is a pic of my car after a polish and wax with the buffer and gold class wax.

I was also able to get out light swirl marks.
I would suggest getting a random orbit polisher. I got one from sears for $25.00 and it makes waxing a lot easier and produces much better result than a hand wax.

I use eagle 1 detail spray because it comes off easy and leaves a waxy smooth surface.

Zymol is GREAT!!
I used to use the NXT and before that Gold Class. I'll never
buy meguirs (sp) after using Zymol. I waxed my car 2 time in the past 6 weeks and I can shave in the reflection now. I also did my cousins maxima,
it had never been waxed before and turned out beautiful. As far as being hard to work with. I don't have a problem @ all even outside, just don't wax in the direct sun.

It depends on the color of your car like I said. Some waxes don't apply evenly on a black car. What bothers me about zymol is it comes off too easily when using quick detailers and it makes the paint look uneven on a black mica. I may try ziano next. I hear its the best and they just released a polish/wax in one.

Ahh now I am all confused here.

I dont mind waxing often but how much is too much when using wax/cleaners?

I do like the NXT detail spray since it works very well and doesnt streak when the paint is cooled off.

I do have a black mica MS3 as well so that is a good point to consider.

Where do I get ziano?

I have seen that suggested many times around here.

Since meguiars is avaiable everywhere I may just go back to that gold class for ease of purchase and since I have all their other products.

Ugh this is driving me nuts.

I think I will return the Zymol today and just stick to gold class and their detail spray since its priced right and its available everywhere.

You can't go wrong with that as you can see from the results on my car and that is a week after I waxed it.
