ZumZumChick was hurt in accident

well, I don't know whether anyone heard or not, but I was just talkin to Jena(ZumZumChick) on AIM, and she wrecked her P5 today when she was side-swiped by a drunk driver who drifted into her lane from oncoming traffic. The collision apparently sent her careening into a road block, where it seems she was knocked out until she awoke later in the hospital all banged up and sporting and arm cast. Her P5 was totalled, and if I recall what she told me correctly, the drunk driver who hit her walked away without a scratch, but he did get arrested. I just thought I would write this to honor a fallen P5, a cool forum member who needs our thoughts, and to heavily DISCOURAGE DRUNK DRIVING. People who drive drunk are idiots, and if I had my way, they would never see an American road again.

i just spoke with her again, and the injuries are bad enough that she is out of work for awhile, and even has to take some heavy medication. Poor Girl; it's always the good who get hurt by the other's stupid mistakes. I hope that asshole gets what he deserves.:mad:

but good thing that she was in a MP5... when i got hit i was glad that i was in my car and not my old subaru... got hit in the drivers door right where the impact beams are ...if i was is any other car i whould have gotten a broken leg.
MP5 & WRX's are in my opinion some of the best cars to get into car accidents into...not that its good to get hit but its nice to know that you will be ok if you do ever get hit.

Friends dont let Friends drive drunk... and u should let ur self drive drunk eather. a cab for that guy whould of cost about 100000X cheaper then the car accident and court

Damn! I hope you get well soon, so you can sue his ass into next year! I can't stand drunk drivers. Too often they get away with only taking drunk classes, losing their license for a while, and it gets wiped off their record within 2 years. I see it all the time (I'm a records clerk for a police department). It's ridiculous.

I was in a car accident in my P5 back in January. That car is pretty tough. The girl hit my left rear quarter, pushing the back end into a parked car. Ruined the bumpers and quarters, and knocked my wheel out of order, but not bad otherwise. You're lucky.

Jena, your new here....but as you can see it makes no difference. You are one of the family...and like all families...we care about each and every one of us....

We are all very happy that you are still with us....THAT is the most important thing. you can get another ride....just as nice as Jack....but we couldn't get us a new Jena.

driving around a 3 thousand pound car sober can be dangerous. driving drunk is just plain retarded. take a cab. it's 10X cooler than driving around, even in a MP5, drunk.

ZumZumChick, just remember to thank the Most High for protecting you during this accident. You are lucky to be able to still breathe, while others have lost their lives by the hands of drunken drivers.

With that being said, I hope you all pray that God is the driver in our Mazda's, so that we may have safe journeys through those crazy curves and downhills. Don't feel foolish to thank Him everytime you park your babies in the driveway.
