Well, don't know how similar this will be to the event Mazda did a few years ago...

...but it's brief fun mixed with a lot of standing around in the hot sun. Basically, I stood in line for about two hours to take a heat-soaked, worn MSP around a dinky "autocross" course, ride in a Mazda 6, and then go home.

Well, by 2pm the car will probably be halfway overheated, the tires will be mushy, and it'll be hot as hell outside. I'd rather get it done in the morning while the car and the termperature are more agreeable.

yeah, you got a bit of a drive to this meet. I am lucky enough to be able to drive down the day of the event, drive thecrap out of some Mazdas, and come home.
