Damn man..... :( I guess you gotta do what you feel is right for you. I would hope you would reconsider. But I understand where you are coming from and how you feel. I am on my 4th motor and trust me I wanted to give up but figured that I spent soooo much money and invested soooo much time that I just couldn't let it go to waste. Not that I am saying that is what you are doing but just wanted to let you know that there are guys out there in the same boat.

lol. The only reason I am sad is because I feel I let you guys down for some reason. In reality I started buying parts for my next project, which is going to be insane. Yes, I am going back to my roots, and the much neglected Scamp. However this time its gonna be F/I.
 
As long as you stick around you haven't let anyone down. Everyone appreciates all the help you've given us and all the work you put into the msp. You accomplished a heck of a lot with your "stock" car. Good luck with the scamp.

Yeah brian you have not let anyone down. I have followed your projects religously. I hope you keep us informed with this project as well as you did with the MSP.
 
33 pages was a long read. sorry to hear.

nobody thinks that 18psi from a T25 w the stock IC could have had anything to do with it? (especially if it was 18psi at the intake manifold, because then the turbo would have to be pumping more than 18 due to inefficient IC) not sure just how much of a difference intake temps will have on piston failure..

and the add. injectors, are they mounted in the IC piping or in the intake manifold, because if they are just in the piping like my meth kit, there is a chance that you did not get an even distribution of fuel to the cylinders, thats why piston1 was damaged more severely from the detonation.

of course you guys know more than me so i could be way off, just trying to think outside the box
 
guess customs smic must be a nice piece for the money if it can cool that kind of boost efficiently.

Agreed. I was trying to push 310+whp through an intercooler designed for around 230-250 max. That is why I was using an intercooler sprayer at the track. However I wasn't using it on the dyno.
 
well, im sorry you had to let the mazda go back to stock, but i think you see the answers some of your club members spoke of. as a friend, id always support your decisions. we did alot of busting on you not driving the scamp, but i think if you put boost to that motor too, all will be good again. you'll have one car that stops, steers, goes decent, AND has a/c---the scamp---well, it'll just anailate most things on the street when built. im glad your going to try a blower on that thing---you always wanted to, you know im just a yell away if you need help. oh yea, just had to say it again---BIG fuel system
 
maybe a bit overkill this D3 is, but i think a nice D1 would fit good under the hood. honestly, im still wondering why more of you import guys havent done a supercharger. i like turbos better myself, but you just dont see blowers on 4 cyl cars. i'll make my dig now, maybe they dont have enough base HP to turn the blower, LOL--J/K guys---speed is speed no matter how you do it.

drove my buddies 2000 golf with a supercharger and small IC box right before the TB. Man that thing sucked, it was like having the AC on times two all the time. He has a powercard to tune it, dont know if that was the problem, but 16s in the qm with forced induction is pretty bad.
