So saturday night I was running to my friends house to see the Blackhawks game,,,,, 7k shifts 1-3 when the oil light came on and went off immediately. Later that night driving home she started to knock...... motor is toast.....not sure what to do... sell it for next to nothing or fix her...

Just rebuild the damn thing yourself, it really isn't that hard. I cut my teeth doing mech work when I blew the headgaskets out of my 03 WRX being a dumbass teenager. Go buy/download a service manual, get a 3/8th Husky ratchet set and a torque wrench from Home Depot and go to town. There's literally like 10 whole parts to the bottom end of your engine, just take your time. I've had a lot of luck with DNJ master rebuild kits on rockauto.com and they're cheap too. Harbor Freight sells $100 engine hoists and $60 engine stands. It's fun, do it.
Ive rebuilt my share,,, just dont have motivation for this one,,,, got a 92 mustang project taking up space and money right now... think Im going to sell it, motor runs just knocks on start up then goes away and again above 2500rpm ish.... honestly not sure what it is..
