I love sparkles :)

I actually tried taking these shots in such a way as to not have sparkles(metallic) showing. Exception being the two metallic shots above. When the sun does hit the metallic, and you take a picture straight on, it's too damn bright and you can't see any detail in the paint. It's like a looking straight into a light bulb and that wasn't what I was shooting for.

Cellerator, how long have you had your Zaino on? How many coats?

I just stripped it and claybarred it along with waxed it 3 times since then but before i went into my madness, I had about 20 coats. It was beautiful but now it's getting where it was before. I would take pics of it if i had a decent digital camera but i dont even have one so sorry. I wish i could. Clay bar makes a big difference. It felt awesome the day i started putting it on and it feels even smoother than it ever was after i clay barred it.

my friend told me there was a test made about 4 different popular waxes used on 1/4 of an NSX hood where they applied wax on each 1/4 of the NSX hood and it did tests on how long the wax stayed on the car, the shine, the smoothness and a few other things including antistatic capabilities and Zaino won so if you put the time into it, Zaino will turn out better than most waxes. They tested Meguiars, Zymol, Zaino, and Zymol NSX wax. out of the 4week long test, Zaino proved to last longer, have a better shine, smoother than the rest and people when not told about the waxes and touched and looked at the hood, they liked Zaino the best.

there was another similar test done with a hood. And the guy did it over 6 weeks or more with the hood left outside. He got his neighbors to come over every now and then and give their opinion as to which one they thought was the best and lasting the longest. they didn't know what one was what.

He tested NXT, Zaino, And 2 others. I'll try to find that link somehwere.

The one thing that I noticed on that NSX forum review, I don't think he mentioned wether or not it was clayed 1st.

A great place for tips, is www.autopia.org. Their forum is very friendly and helpful.

I tried out Z2 today. Stuff went on just as easy as z5. A little harder to see though. Amost feels like your not putting anything on the car.

I did 3 coats on entire car, with wheels. Took me about 3-4 hours. But most of that was waiting in between coats for it to dry. I like to get it a good 30-45 mins for each coat to dry.

Is car any shinier then z5? Yeah, it's shiny alright. But, nowhere near as smooth as z5 was.

Here's a shot of z5 after 2-3 weeks of mostly rain. Water beaded REALLY well with Z5 on in the rain. These are tajen before I got into really washing today. Not very good shots, but you can see the reflection is still clear.

Here's some after z2 was applied. Not feeling well today so I never took too many shots

bit of advice for anyone thats going to buy a zaino kit. Get an extra bottle of Z6 detail spray. You use a lot of it over time.

Yup i just put a coat of Z2 on my car, looks great. Can't wait until I feel better (sick now) so I can put another few coats on.

I'm lucky to have a store here that stocks Zaino (Zaino is produced here in NJ), so I can get it whenver I need it, no waiting :)

lucky bastard. I have to order, and wait 2 weeks. arg. I need some more z6 too.

So far I like like the feel of z5 better, and I'm not decided on which one shines better. I'll let it sit overnight, and see if it looks better tomorrow. I found the Zaino looks better after it's been on the car overnight.

:)

Luckily you can switch between Z2 and Z5 all you want.

And I gotta say...all of the products (esp. Z6) smells great!!

One month for the Z2, and at least 6 weeks for the z5. And it's still beeding water like nuts, still shines like a mofo, and while not quite that ultra smooth oily feel it had when initially done, it is definetly still nice and smooth. THat amazes me because it has rained here at least 5 days out of 7 for every week since I did the car last. No lie, rain, rain, rain, rain....arg. Finally getting some nice weather now, but I'm sick of rain. AI wanted to test the wax and all, but come on, enough is enough.

Hell yeah, the water beading with zaino is incredible. The first time it rained, as soon as I started driving, all the water just flew right off the car. When I got home it had stopped raining, and my car looked perfect still. And a couple of weeks later it still looks great even after rain.

zaino still beading well.

I'll be putting on another coat of z5 this week though. I don't usually go this long without waxing, but the zaino has held up very well. I was leaving it alone on purpose to see how long it would last, but now I want to start building layers for the winter

yes, zaino on the wheels too.

sorry for the very late reply if your even still around.

Anyways, after using zaino for a few months now. I can honestly say I never have to wash my car!

ok, maybe I do, but even after rainfalls, my car is still friggin clean. I love it. I have hardly had to wash my car this year. We even had thunder showers all thursday/friday, I was even driving around in it. My car was still clean on sat. Once you get a few coats on, this stuff is da best.

I love Zaino. Never using anything else.

i have to order a kit. want to put the good stuff on my new clearcoat (once it cures, that is)

any input on how it looks on cf and handles brake dust on wheels. mine turn brown after like a week or 2..

btw, i have nxt, wasn't real impressed. no significant difference from the megurires gold class. most noticable was after using scratchx, paint felt real smooth. seemed to help a bit
