whistle in the turbo means losing pressure right?

bc whenever I hit the gas hard it whistles at me.. car is still under warranty so I should be able to get a new turbo right?

dude, turbos whistle... a turbine spinning at 100,000 rpms tends to make high pitched whining/whistling noises.

I didnt think that at stock PSI it would whistle though.. never did it to me b4

Mine whistles all the time when I hit the gas, and I'm boosting at a solid 9 psi with no problems. I would say that nothing is wrong with it, but if your under warranty just take it in anyway. Never know, they might just give you a new turbo for s****.

The day mine "whistled", is the day my turbo went out. I got absolutley no power from the turbo, and it sounded like a supercharger when attempting to give it throttle.

....the compressor wheel could be rubbing on the housing, causing the whistle. Take it to the dealer and let em look at it.

Ive got a date for May 9th.. I really hope i get a new turbo. Then I would feel safe enough to not buy the extended warranty

mine does the same thing. at around 4-5k rpms at wot it will whistle. i was planning on takin mine in to the dealer cause i am also still under warranty. i took of the intake pipe and spun the turbine with my hand and it sounded horrible. almost like there wasnt any oil in it ever. let me kno what they say at the dealer.
