Young drivers... not so good for my MS3

I was in a supermarket parking lot with a Ford Focus in front of me. It turns right to go into a parking spot, so I continue forward. Next thing I know it's coming right at me and smacks right into my right front corner. The car didn't even slow down and I'm pretty sure it sped up to whip around.

I get out of my car and the other driver is a 18 year old girl. I yell at her "What the hell are you doing?" and her response was "I was making a u-turn!" She apologized to me and told the police it was her fault.

Unfortunately NJ is a no-fault state, so my insurance will most likely go up. Yay.

I was hit by some stupid chick long ago 2 months after i got my brand new Eclipse GT. Never spoke with my insurance company but definitely talked to hers. I told them where and how I wanted it fixed and it was done so....

Ah, well... this is the first time I've been hit. Lesson learned... will do this the next time if there is one.

Here's a question though, how did car rental work while the vehicle was being fixed? Their insurance paid for it all?

same thing happened to me, i was hit from the front by a lady after she hit a truck, and slammed the car into reverse...

contacted her insurance, told them where i was taking it (mazda dealer) and they paid for everything including rental. my insurance never found out

Since she obviously can't see worth a damn, I guess you could call your first encounter with her a "blind" date? In my dating years, I had worse experiences.

If you are unattached and she's cute, suggest that now that you have been properly introduced perhaps you could get together. She probably feels really bad about it. If you are cool about it all, excusing your understandable outburst at the scene, she might take you up on the invite. Insurance will take care of the accident claim. People meet in strange ways.

If you ever see her again, just don't let her drive your car!

Yeah, I found out that as soon as the police report gets finished they send it off to the insurance companies. When I was speaking with my insurance rep later she mentioned that I could go have gone through the other girls insurance company and I wouldn't have had to pay the deductible. Instead, I get to pay my deductible and then they get it back for me, that's apparently the only difference.

The only way for the insurance company to not find out is to not have a police report done.
