as a tourist, south beach can seem like heaven, but when you live here, and have to drive or deal with people from that area, it's not so amazing... :(

I hear ya on that one. I stayed on 3rd and Ocean, so i didn't have to drive through any of that mess. I just walked to all the bars/ nightclubs, or took a taxi if I needed.

I can see where you are coming from. Tourists would come to South Street and Olde City in Philly all the time, but when I lived in the city, I hardly ever went those spots because there were TOO many people
 
haha yeah well its like alot of places. always nice for vacation but different when you live there.

its getting colder up here now ... hot summer temperatures are over. so i wouldnt say no to a few days in miami beach =) although i like daytona better because of the bigger waves
