You have bad bushings, you in TO?

Give me a PM, post it here whatever.

I need to know if your close to Mazda Head quarters. And if you'd be willing to drive your car over to them to show them the problem with the bushings.

I'll need to know how old the car is, how many kms, how many bushings you've had replaced, what dealer, any other parts replaced etc.

And most important....any mods?

I'll be contacting this guys at Mazda of Canada that is working with me, and suggesting to him to perhaps look at varous examples of the "clunk", and have their top techs figure this thing out.

They offered to do this to my car, but they want to ship it from NFLD to TO, and I don't like that idea at all.

Feel free to leave contact information ( do this through PM for your own safety ) so I can get a hold of you if needed.

I'm not promising anything, I'm only trying to arrange this at this point.

I'll need this info ASAP.

if anyone is a member of TOProtege.com, give them a heads up for me? MY account never seems to work with them

My car is getting fix on the 25th of FEB so if any of Toronto guys want to get in touch with Mazda HQ I guess 24th would be the best day for me. Im really busy until 22nd of FEb. I have exams and so much stuff to be done. I already offered "Newf" to hook me up with Mazda. And I guess I post a reply to Newf's thread letters are working on 28th of Jan 03, suggesting that couple of Toronto MP3 owners should go to mazda together but no one responded positively. Nay ways the best I can do is trying to cooperate with any one who is willing to get in touch with MAZDA HQ. it should be on the 24th of Feb 03. As I mentioned Im busy until 22nd and 25th my car is getting fixed for the 2nd time. What is the point of seeing Mazda after its being fixed? Again if any of you guys want to meet with mazda Im free to do it on 24th of Feb 03.
Later

I don't want them to see the car after it's been "fixed" I am hoping to get some head tech guy, the same one they want me to send me car to, to get see the clunk in it's worse state before the fix, and hopefully, these cars will have the latest bushing, part 156D on them so we can prove that they do no work.

I won't know anything until Thursday. The guy I am dealing with is out of town until then.

Car was made in May 2001
I have owned the car since October 2002
Current mileage around 30,000 KMs
Never had the bushings replaced as far as I know
No mods

A set of bushings is supposed to be on order to Downtown Mazda but that is coming up on about three weeks since they were ordered and I haven't heard anything about when they will arrive.

Also, check your PMs in a minute for more details.

Mine was already fixed, sorry newf

still you can join us to prove that every car has this problem. I hope you save your invoices. If there is a will, then ther is a way too.. so think about it. (please dont take it as an offence, i dint mean to offend u but i'm little upset about people not cooperating eventhough they know that their car has a damn problem).

Co Operate how?

I worked hard to get mine fixed last winter..I bugged my dealership and they finally got Mazda Canada to replace the bushings for me...So dont think Mazda Canada doesnt know about this, they fixed mine...I dont know if i got an invoice when i got it done

Oh, Mazda of Canada knows about this for sure, and HAS known since Nov 2001! I know this for FACT.

But, they refuse to do anything about it because of the limited numbers of MP3's with the problem. Hopefully, with the Mazdaspeeds coming out, it will speed ( pun intended ) up getting us a fix.

My problem has always been that Mazda just comes up with any excuse they can dream up so they get away with fixing it. Honestly, you'd be amazed at some of the s*** I've been told.

Excuse me, I'm calling again for the 455th time, and I'm on my 14th set of new bushings......is there a fix yet? We have tried the new part number but it only seems to work for 4 days......

Well sir, the bushings fix everyone else's car just fine.....you should get a wheel aligment!

s*** like that EVERY time my dealer calls them. Their useless.

Count me in. I will be ok after Feb 22 until March.
My MP3 is 100% bone stock. 30000KM. Replaced the bushing once, but it came back soon after the winter came.

Let me know the location and time. I will check this post regularly
thanks.

Guys, if you want to be a part of this I need NAmes, addresses, VIN #, Phone numbers, Dealer, KMS on car ASAP

I pm'd a s*** load of people last night, and only got 2 two responses!

State your problem in email as well, and make of car.

email me at steves@nf.sympatico.ca for a faster response.

No PM here as I am still on the original bushings.

However, the replacement parts have finally come in (I am assuming the D-series part) and I will be taking it in to the dealership Monday morning for 32K service and bushing replacement ...

Should I just get them replaced and wait 'till the new parts fail or is there something more helpful I can be doing that will further the cause.

you might want to mention where Mazda head quarters are located

Mazda HQ is in Scarborough, at least for Canada it is.

Rowan, is your car clunking at all?

And , I have a meeting in person with the District Rep on Wednesday, he's flying in.

Should prove to be interesting.

I'm not much of one for confrontation with this s***, I'll just tell em to stick it up their ass and go buy Honda out of f'n spite if I hear any more excuses. I get too emotional sometimes, and it gets me nowhere. They actually had the nerve to call my dealer today and try to point the finger at them as if it was there fault, but when they were told that the new MSP with 1500kms on it had the same problem and already had one replacement, they were like.....ummm....oh. How can it be the dealers fault when the MSP came like it?

Ediots. They are STILL trying to find a easy way out. But, apparantly they have contacted Racing Beat again, and are even looking at all Protege's for bushings troubles as well. Whatever that means.

So, wednesday it is then.

hells ya it be clunkin' since the day i got it.
(used at 23000 Kms) This will be the first time for me getting bushings replaced.
And first time for the car as well, as long as Mazda has all their records straight ... no warranty work has been done on it except for a replaced head unit and one wheel.
