So here's my dilemma and why I'm torn.
I have a brand new set of Volks and Pole Positions that I plan to take off once the weather here in Central Pennsylvania starts getting crappy.
As we all know, summer performance tires are a joke in the snow, and I don't want to run my Volks in salt and cinders.
But when it comes down to it, we really only get two or three days of actual snow driving where I live, so soft, squishy and expensive snow tires that wear out quickly when driven on dry pavement seems like overkill and a waste of money.
I've been looking at all season tires that fit my stock wheels, but none of the tires seem to get very good reviews from users that reported on Tire Rack or Discount Tire Direct. Well, except for the offerings that are around two bills a corner.
What do you guys think about all season tires? Any recommendations?
Should I look into a set of 17's to open up my options? I thought about that, but then I'm adding the expense of another set of wheels into the equation.
I dunno what to do.
