yesterday project.

so i ordered a cheapy ebay rear strut bar, figured i would give it a try, spend about 3 hours pulling pannels, popping out plugs, cutting pannels, and a finished up with this.

the bar came like a brushed finish, and painted it black, cause i like the suddle look. i am yet to get into some twisty roads with it. but it feels like the rear is deffin a bit stiffer with bumps, and lane changes seems to be more sharp. i cant wait to get it on some twisty

I've heard those don't really do much, but I'm looking forward to hear about it once you go on some runs. I wouldn't put that in my car, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to haul a lot in it.

And, there have been a few guys that have set it up so it has a fairly quick release. But, i put crap in the back of my car WAY too often to mess with a bar or trunk cage

yeah i was worried about not being to carry things but it takes like 2 mins if that really to take the bar out. hopefull it will make a difference, maybe not a huge one, but hell for the price i paid it doesnt really matter even if it doesnt do anything

ok so did some driving for a while after work today, there is a noticable difference in the handling. the steering seems to be better, a little crisper maybe is the right word. personally i can feel the road better in seems like (maybe mental) next step is a rear sway bar.

i've found its getting harder to actually locate an mx6 rear bar

$25 to the door. honestly i wasnt really impressed with the quality, the mounts for the strut tower dont look that beefy, i may a little litter have on made thats thicker.

yeah haha sorry... maybe some time soon i will have thicker mounts made for the bar, and probably even a thicker bar.
