XelderX's BG FSP Build

(laugh) and we're all ex-Protege people. you just haven't reformed yet, Justin. don't worry; the miataborg will get you, too. assimilate!

get that damn thing running...i wanna see some FSP stompin'. after all this work, you deserve to start bringing home some hardware.

No kidding, I can't wait for this thing to start giving Jinx and Jeff (aka Mr. "There's nothing lighter than a hole") a run for their money

So Justin, you aren't signed up for Nats. Are you not going?

Van

I've just been so busy with the car and working overtime that the late fee deadline snook up on me. I am already registered for the warm-up. There is only about a 10% chance my car will be ready in time and I haven't heard from Jason yet whether there is an open seat in his car again.

You still have a few more hours until the late fee kicks in IIRC. Even once you register you can get a full refund until the 5th so if you are planning on trying to go I would register now and decide before the 5th.

WAT?

(poke)

In the biz I think that's known as 'adding lightness'

1.2lbs lighter to be exact.

The exhaust is done although I don't have any pictures right now. I'll try and get some tomorrow. I'm still fighting with the ECU at the moment.

Mechanically Done!!!

The car is now mechanically finished! I've made all the necessary modifications to get this thing going aside from finishing electrical system. I had the exhaust welded up a few days ago. It's been raining for the last 2 days so I spent some time drilling holes and modifying the battery tray for the smaller battery. The seat assemblies are still a few lbs over the rule limit, but not enough to stress over it now. I swapped out the front 8" springs for 6" springs and saved almost 2 lbs per side.

Here is the finished exhaust...
