almost traded my crotch rocket for a 1st gen AWD... yuck.
I don't think I posted it but, yesterday, my mech looked at it, he says it either the water pump or timing belt tensioner and that the reason my belt was getting frayed so quick is cause some of the little spikes around the crank pulley were bent outward, so they were touching the belt as it was moving.
Anyways, he said he'll change the timing belt, water pump, vc gasket, serpentine belts & bend the spikes back into place for $210. If its the tensioner making the noise, it'll be a little more but he'll know once he pops the cover off.
I said, lets do it! I get the car back tomorrow. I know I could of done the stuff myself, but I haven't had any kind of luck with the belts so I don't really ever wanna touch them again, plus, I thought that was a great price.
